Residential Exterior Painting
No Other Tampa Painting Company Can Paint the Outside of your home better than Polson Painting!
And Here’s Why!!
First, we thoroughly wash your house to eliminate all dirt, mildew, and insect debris. A clean surface is essential for proper adhesion of primers and paints.
We scrape any loose or peeling paint from the surfaces, sand any glossy areas. If we notice wood repairs are needed at the time of the quote, we will connect you with our preferred contractor as a referral, if we can’t do it.
Next, we caulk all trim joints, seams, and fill any cracks or holes to ensure the house is sealed up from insects, rain, wind, heat and cold air from getting into your home.
Once repairs are complete, we prime any bare wood and/or stains with Sherwin Williams bonding primer or Pro Block to ensure any future flaking or stains bleeding through of the new paint.
We employ high-quality Sherwin-Williams brand exterior paints, such as Resilience (2 coats on previously painted surfaces) and Duration (1 coat on previously painted surfaces, its self-priming) . Paint is applied by our skilled craftsman painters using proven professional techniques, including brushing, rolling or spraying and back rolling.
When we’re completely finished we’ll conduct three inspections to ensure nothing’s been missed, that the coverage is good, and that all paint lines are straight, with no overlapping of colors. Any needed touch-ups will be done at that time. Our goal is to leave you delighted with the outcome and leave you with complete peace of mind.
WE CLEAN UP
Clean up is done daily and thoroughly at the completion of a job. Ladders and equipment are neatly stored overnight at a place you appoint. Leftover paint is sealed, properly marked for future touch-ups, and left with you. We leave your premises in the condition it was before we began.

Great Interior Painting Requires Good Prep. First, We Prepare the Room
Before we begin painting a room, we properly prepare it. We will leave hooks or nails if you plan on re-hanging pictures, and such where they were, so you don’t have to re-center them, or we can pull them and fill the holes. We remove the light switches and plug plates. And we move furniture to the center of the room and cover it with plastic. Then we lay drop cloths down over the floors. We ask that you are responsible for pictures, antiques, and breakables. If you need help with these items, will be more than happy to help you.
Then We Prepare the Surfaces
We being by patching any nail holes, dents, cracks, or crevices; we will spot prime stains with Sherwin Williams Pro Block prior to painting. Gaps between trim and walls or between walls and ceiling are all caulked. We sand trim and doors where needed and then wipe clean to ensure smooth finishes.
Good Interior Painting Means Good Painters Using Good Paint and a System
After preparation of walls and trim, we begin painting by cutting in between the ceiling and walls, and then around the walls and trim, working our way down from top to bottom. This is done by experienced craftsman painters with a steady hand, who pay close attention to details and ensure precision paint lines, with no overlap between your walls and trim colors. Once cutting-in is complete, and while the edges are still damp, another painter rolls the walls, getting as close to the trim edges as possible to ensure no flashing when the paint dries, and to ensure proper coverage. When we are finished, we wipe off any splatters that may have fallen on baseboards, re-cut those same baseboards if needed, touch up any light spots that might be showing through, and pull up any tape, tarps or plastic that’s been used. Finally, we do a detailed inspection with you to be sure you’re happy with our work and the results.
Good Interior Painters Clean Up Everything When They’re Done
When we’re all through painting, we wipe clean and replace all electrical outlet & switch plate covers. We pick up and remove our tarps and plastic, remove any debris, wipe down and dust all counters and trim, and then sweep or vacuum the floors. And we move the furniture back to its original position.
We ensure you have enough paint left over for future touch-ups, and label each paint can for your convenience.
We conduct a final inspection with you to be sure everything is back in place correctly and that you’re happy with everything.
